Real Estate Tours

Due to overwhelming demand by Real Estate investors we have set about creating a Real Estate Tours package, one that will run steadily all year long and one that has been designed specifically to adapt itself to our clients real needs.

Said tours are an excellent way of getting to know the culture, way of life, suitability and the pros and cons of living in the Cuenca, Ecuador region, as well as visiting specific properties for sale, both rural and urban. 

Our objective is to offer a service of the utmost quality, adapted to the expectations and specific needs of each one of our clients. This means that you, the investor, on top of the properties that are currently listed on our website, can request any specific property or type of property that you would like to see and we will include this property on our tour, which is why when making your reservation you will have the option of filling out a form where you can state exactly what it is you would like to acquire.

September 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th

September 17th:

We will do a full day city tour visiting the highlights of the city of Cuenca. We will start at Plaza San Sebastián, which is the western colonial limit of the city. From here we’ll walk along the historic center to visit the San Francisco market, Abdón Calderón park, the Old Cathedral among many other sites, like the New Cathedral, the largest in the country.

From here the tour continuous onto the famous Panama Hat traditional factory, the most important in the country, where we will be shown the entire process of making these hats. Then we will visit the colonial “hanging houses” of El Barranco on the Tomebamba river and finally we will ride up to the town of Turi that overlooks Cuenca and has magnificent views of all the city.

After lunch we will visit a number of urban houses and apartments ranging from modern condos in beautiful buildings to independent houses with front and back yard in various well to do Cuenca neighborhoods, of which you can see examples on our web page.

September 18th:

Breakfast.

We’ll take off towards the northeast of Cuenca and make our first stop in San Bartolomé, famous for its crafty artisans and their hand made guitars.  From here we’ll head Chordeleg, well known throughout the country for its jewelry in gold and silver. Later on we’ll go to the town of Gualaceo to see 2 indigenous markets of great color and a variety of products. We’ll also visit a textile workshop where we’ll witness the prehispanic Ikat tecnique. 

Lunch (each lunch includes 1 entrée, 1 main dish and 1 desert, drinks are not included)

After lunch we will visit different rural properties in this sunny valley famous for its landscapes and the warmth of its people.  The temperature here ranges from a low of 14ºC (57 ºF) to a high of 22ºC (71ºF) and properties here are great for growing all kinds of fruit trees, flowers or simply for settling down and enjoying a peaceful existence. There area several towns in the area where you can buy anything or get any service and Cuenca is just 30 minutes away.

September 19th:

Breakfast

This time we go south until we reach the beautiful El Chorro waterfalls where we’ll take a 45 minute walk until we reach the base of the waterfall.

Afterward we go on to the valley of Yunguilla where we’ll observe a traditiona sugarcane mill where they make “aguardiente” the local firewater licor and “panela” a brown sugarloaf.

After lunch we visit some of the rural properties that can be purchased in this marvelous subtropical valley that on has a temperature with lows of 18ºC (65ºF) and highs of 28ºC (82ºF), ideal for vacationing, growing all types of fruit trees or just lying by the pool. There are two towns in this valley where there are hospitals, hardware stores, indigenous markets, grocery stores, etc. and Cuenca is only an hour away.

September 20th:

Return to Cuenca

Lunch (each lunch includes 1 entrée, 1 main dish and 1 desert, drinks are not included)

After lunch we’ll do a final visit to any property that you would like to see again, or any new properties that you have shown interest in. Also, starting from this date our legal department will be ready to assist you in any aspect of the negotiation and purchase of a property (negotiating the price with the owner, doing a title search, preparing documents, assistance at the notary, registering the property at the Property Registry and more…).
